Clifton Mid Rise Car Lift

Wheels Free Hydraulic Lift
Assisted Fulcrum
Mobile, if required
Ideal for installation at home this ramp is equally at home bolted into position as a permanent installation or used as a mobile ramp in the yard when space, or limited available working height, is at a premium.
If you have served your time making do with trolley jacks and stands then these lifts will ensure easy routine servicing and long term projects are a joy to work on. This equipment has evolved over many years to provide the home mechanic with a robust, reliable lift, which has a minimum footprint, can be parked over and incorporates several important features that best suit the domestic user.

The latest models have been recently re-designed to improve safety and effeciency, they now incorporate an assisted fulcrum and automatic lowering to mechanical locks (with many more intermediate safe locking positions) to ensure the heaviest cars can be raised with ease and securely located at the perfect height for the job in hand. These lifts are simple to use and mobile, if required, providing the perfect solution for the restrictions of a smaller domestic garage or workshop.

The Clifton Lift will most probably reside in the centre of your garage at home. If it is a permanent installation it will be bolted to the floor......It is most likely that the lift will be passive for most of its life, day to day the car usually parked in the garage will simply park over the top of the Clifton Lift, nobody will even know it's there. When you need to use it, the car will be driven over and rubber lifting blocks placed between the ramps and your chosen lifting points. The lifting points can be the sills of a modern vehicle, or the jacking points or chassis of an older vehicle. For the majority of cars there will be plenty of scope to place the lifting blocks to ensure stability of the raised car, however, for longer wheelbase cars, or vans, then there is provision to extend the platforms by locking the up-ramps into position.
The car is raised to the desired height at a press of the UP button, and then automatically lowered to a, mechanically, locked position before any work commences. The wheels will be presented at an ideal height to remove, and any brake, suspension etc. work to commence. The centre of the raised car will be free to work on and the sump, filters etc will be readily available.
We can supply full standing height lifts, if you have the head height, however the Clifton has a maximum 1m lift, very few domestic garages are tall enough to lift a vehicle any higher! As the Clifton is a mid-rise lift, for some jobs you will need to crouch down to work, but it is surprising how easy it is to access all areas, and there are crawlers and low stools available to ease the burden....
Lowering the car is simple, pressing the "DOWN" button sees the car raised for an inch or two, to clear the mechanical locks, and then lowered to the floor, a "two-stage down" facility ensures that for the last foot of travel, as the wheels regain the floor, the speed of descent is slowed.
An optional mobility kit allows owners to relocate the lift, either around the workshop or even onto the drive or into the yard, as required - this is especially useful if head-height indoors is restricted ..... Should you need to move a lift around as a matter of course then we would recommend our Tamar Scissor Lift, however for the occasional requirement to relocate then the Clifton is ideal.
